2. Educational Use and Fair Use Policy

Our platform is intended for educational purposes only. By using our tool, you acknowledge that our features fall under the protection of fair use laws. We do not display the original texts of books. Instead, we generate transformative, creative, and interactive content designed to enhance student literacy, foster engagement, and promote reading. Our tool increases visibility and sales of books by encouraging deeper reader interaction and motivation to explore full texts. This platform qualifies as educational, transformative, and non-commercial use under U.S. copyright guidelines.

3. User Consent and Data Usage

By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of your data. This includes the collection of usage data, analytics, and activity logs to help us improve our educational tools.

You also consent to the use of anonymized data for internal analytics and product promotion purposes, such as highlighting patterns of engagement or learning outcomes in marketing or investor-facing materials. At no point will personally identifiable information (PII) be shared without explicit consent.

4. Accounts and Eligibility

All custom content created by our platform (e.g., summaries, questions, comics) is the property of Pagio. Any unauthorized use of the content is strictly prohibited and may violate copyright laws, intellectual property rights, and other applicable regulations.

6. User-Generated Content

When you create content on Pagio (such as comics, stories, or reviews), you retain ownership of your original creative expression. However, by posting content on our platform, you grant Pagio a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and share your content within the Pagio community for educational purposes.

Zero-Tolerance Policy for Objectionable Content and Abusive Users

Pagio has a strict zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. We are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful environment for all users, especially children.

When creating comics or writing reviews, you agree not to post content that:

• Contains violence, hate speech, or discriminatory language
• Includes sexual, explicit, or inappropriate content for children
• Harasses, bullies, or targets other users
• Contains spam, misleading information, or advertising
• Violates copyright or intellectual property rights
• Promotes illegal activities or harmful behavior

All user-generated content is subject to automated AI moderation and manual review. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms without prior notice.

Consequences of Violations: Violation of this policy will result in immediate content removal and permanent account termination. We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive behavior of any kind.

7. Content Moderation and Reporting

Pagio is committed to maintaining a safe, positive environment for all users. We employ both automated systems and human review to moderate user-generated content.

Reporting Inappropriate Content: Users can report comics, reviews, or other content they believe violates our policies. All reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

Blocking Users: Users have the ability to block other users, which will prevent them from seeing that user's content and interactions.

Response Time: We are committed to reviewing and responding to content reports within 24 hours. Reported content that violates our policies will be removed, and the responsible user may face account restrictions.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Pagio only for lawful, educational purposes. You may not:

• Attempt to access accounts or data belonging to other users
• Use the platform to harass, bully, or harm others
• Circumvent security measures or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities
• Use automated systems or bots to access the Service
• Share inappropriate content or engage in behavior unsuitable for a children's platform
• Impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access for any reason, including violation of these terms. Upon termination, you may request deletion of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pagio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally to reflect product improvements or legal requirements. Continued use of the Service implies acceptance of any revised terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Rhode Island, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
